Peregrination has been another significant inspiration for her work. Whether soaring high in the sky or wandering foreign streets, Lin often reflects on a sentiment from the book of Hebrews: "They admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth." In several pieces, she strives to capture this state of mind—feeling lonely, disconnected, insignificant, and adrift in time and place.
